You will never build real wealth working for someone else. Agree or disagree?
In this episode of the podcast, I am joined by Business Growth Strategist, Jenna Nelson. As a business woman and single mother of twins, Jenna advocates for women leaving the corporate world and creating their own businesses so that they can have time and financial freedom.
The traditional corporate workplace is designed for the old model of one parent going to work while the other stayed at home to raise the family. Although women are now excelling in corporate leadership roles, they are often paid less than their male counterparts, still bear the majority share of childcare responsibilities, and the mental load of unpaid household labour.
Entrepreneurship is the way that women can gain more time freedom to work around their other commitments, achieve work-life balance, and get paid their worth.
Jenna Nelson is a 15-year event industry veteran turned entrepreneur. While planning corporate events, Jenna discovered a passion and indispensable skill set for helping companies develop their brand and grow their businesses. Jenna launched Maverick Events & Consulting, a strategy-focused business and marketing consultancy focusing on turning businesses into brands and entrepreneurs into thought leaders. Her program, Breaking Corporate, inspires and supports women to leave the corporate world and achieve time and financial freedom in their lives by becoming business owners.
Additionally, Jenna operates a second business, Adaline's Playroom, is a regularly published writer and is a single mom to 4-year-old twins, Maverick and Adaline.
